WEEK 8 OF PRACTICUM
WEEK 8: 22-26 JULY 2024
During the semester, I successfully taught a total of 33 periods across several classes, including Class 403, Class 503, and Class 302, as well as Tahfiz classes for Form 3 and Form 5. To ensure a balanced approach to my professional responsibilities and personal well-being, I took two days of leave on Tuesday and Wednesday. This short break allowed me to recharge and return to my teaching duties with renewed focus and energy, ultimately enhancing both my students' experience and the overall learning environment.
In addition to my teaching roles, I was given the responsibility of managing the TAQWA 2.0 program, specifically aimed at Form 5 students and centered around their hafazan (Quran memorization). This program was designed to support students in their spiritual and academic development by offering tailored resources and guidance for their memorization efforts. Through engaging activities and discussions, I aimed to inspire and motivate students on their hafazan journey, fostering a deeper connection to their studies and personal growth.
SWOT analysis
The strength that i had found in me during the eight week of my practicum was that i'm able to apply learning approach when completing the task that i had been given. This had given me confident to accept any task.
While my weakness, which I discovered during my eight week of practicum, was that I sometimes think too much things that might not happen.
Last but not least, the threat I recognised was that if I took on too many activities, I would not have enough time to prepare my teaching materials. This will also have an impact on my lesson.
