WEEK 2 OF PRACTIKUM
WEEK 2. 10-14 JUNE 2024
From June 10 to 11, our school organized an engaging Activity Week, which meant that regular classes were suspended to allow students to participate in a variety of events. The schedule was packed with exciting activities, including a movie night that brought students together for a fun cinematic experience, a lively debate competition that encouraged critical thinking and public speaking, and a vibrant "gerai jualan" (sales booth) where students showcased their entrepreneurial skills. This week fostered a sense of community and allowed students to explore their interests beyond the classroom.
Following the Activity Week, our school held the Perkhemahan Perdana (Premier Camp) over two days, on June 12 and 13. This camping experience was designed to promote teamwork, resilience, and leadership skills among students. Participants engaged in various outdoor activities, including hiking, team-building exercises, and survival skills workshops. The camp provided an excellent opportunity for students to bond, learn valuable life skills, and create lasting memories in a natural setting away from their usual routines.
The combination of Activity Week and the Perkhemahan Perdana allowed students to step outside their academic responsibilities and engage in holistic development. While the activities during the week nurtured creativity and social skills, the camping experience reinforced the importance of collaboration and self-reliance. Students learned to work together, support one another, and face challenges head-on, skills that are essential both in and out of school.
Overall, these events were pivotal in enriching the school experience, promoting a well-rounded education that extends beyond textbooks. They fostered a sense of camaraderie and school spirit among students, helping them to build friendships and strengthen connections with their peers. The positive feedback from participants reflected the success of both the Activity Week and the Perkhemahan Perdana, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in developing confident, capable individuals ready to tackle future challenges.
SWOT analysis
The strenSgth that i had found in me during the seventh week of my practicum was being able to collaborate with other teachers in making sure the Kem Bina Insan program run smoothly. Apart from that, i also able to adopt in any kind of situation.
However, I still tend to rush through tasks when I have too many activities going on, as I realised during my third week of practicum. This will also have an effect on my lesson.
