WEEK 7 OF PRACTICUM

 WEEK 7: 15-19 JULY 2024

Throughout the semester, I effectively managed to teach a total of 33 periods across various classes, including Class 403, Class 503, and Class 302, as well as Tahfiz classes for Form 3 and Form 5. To maintain a healthy work-life balance, I applied for two days of leave on Tuesday and Wednesday. This brief hiatus allowed me to recharge, enabling me to return to my teaching responsibilities with renewed focus and energy, ultimately benefiting both my students and the overall learning environment.

In addition to my teaching duties, I was given the responsibility of managing the Makhat (Majlis Khatam al-Quran) program. This significant role involved coordinating events that celebrated students' completion of their Quranic studies. I focused on organizing the logistics to ensure that the program was meaningful and memorable for both participants and their families. Through this experience, I was able to foster a sense of community and spiritual growth, enriching the students' educational journey and strengthening their connection to their studies.

SWOT ANALYSIS

Some of the strengths that i had during the week 7 were i managed to prepare interesting and clear slides. Apart from that, i managed to show both the question and the guiding question on the same slide. Furthermore, i had displays the sequence of steps to solve the question. I believe this can help students remember the steps of the correct workflow. Also, during my teaching and learning sessions, i had called on different students to connect the work paths written on the whiteboard by their peers. I believe this method makes all students ready and stay focused when discussing questions. Apart from that, i managed to improve my time management in my teaching and learning session.

While some of the weakness was that i could only provide and discuss a few questions.

Next the opportunity that i had identified was that the students could easily excel the topic of Progression as a result from my teaching method.
